OH! BAND REACHES OUT BEYOND BORDERS

Russian music group OH! seeks to expand audiences to the west 

OH! Band (pronounced ON!) is a Russian music phenomenon who made its way onto the stages of Moscow’s music scene in the autumn of 2007.  

The comparison with a natural phenomenon is not by accident. Within hearing the very first bars of music you feel a powerful energy which creates an ever changing, unpredictable groove.   The intense edge of guitars, powerful driving drums, vocals which roll out from soft sub-tones and glass falsetto to split and torn screaming, with the support of melodic piano arpeggios creates OH! Band’s dynamic sound.  From dance inducing beats to melodic ballads each song has a unique and recognizable sound with beautifully profound lyrics capturing a deep Russian spirit and claiming its own identity.

 It is difficult to prescribe OH!’s music to any particular audience because their listeners are just as diverse as the music they create.  OH! Band has thousands of loyal listeners of all ages among fans of pop, indie, alternative and rock music. 

Since OH!’s inception they have performed countless concerts from Moscow to St. Petersburg, achieved many successes, awards and earned thousands of loyal listeners. As OH! continues to advance in their musical endeavors they hope to continue develop and promote the growth of their audience. With the release of the second album the band is ready expand their fan base beyond the borders of Russia. 

The following are a few highlights of OH!’s achievements: 

• August 2008: Performed in the All-Russian rock festival MEGADRIVE2008 along with ZEMFIRA, Leningrad, and LUMEN
• February 2009: Performed at the Festival "Planet Roka2009" sponsored by MUZBAND; received awards including: "Best Creative Music Project of the Year" and "The People's Choice Award for Best Indie Rock Group”
•  May 2009: Internet release of debut album "Ocean".  Voted “Best Release of the Month” according to the "WE ROCK" social network on Facebook.
• October 2009: Premiere of the video "Hundreds of Roads".  Video received airtime on O2TV, where it stayed in the Top 20 for more than 3 months
•  November 2009: Semi-finalist in the battle of the bands competition for the 2010 International Emergenza Festival
•  September 2010:  Debuts the single "Waltz on the Roof" from their upcoming album.
• November 2010: OH! Participates once again  in the battle of the bands and is voted into the semi finals in the 2011 Emergenza Festival
